Rade Šarović receives University of Belgrade Geography Plaque

Rade Šarović, a professor at the University of Montenegro, has been awarded the Plaque of the Faculty of Geography at the University of Belgrade. This recognition is one of the institution's most significant honors, awarded for exceptional contributions to teaching and scientific research.

The award follows five years of interdisciplinary cooperation between the University of Montenegro and the University of Belgrade. This partnership focused on developing ecological-educational programs centered on sustainability, climate change, and natural resource management. The collaboration has resulted in four scientific monographs, numerous papers in international journals, and various international conferences.

Šarović noted that the award represents an institutional recognition of a successful collaborative model rather than just an individual achievement. His research focuses on the social production of space, regional development, and the study of rural and urban environments, bridging the disciplines of sociology and geography.
