Radek Vitek joins Middlesbrough from Manchester United in £7‑£14m deal
Manchester United’s 22‑year‑old goalkeeper Radek Vitek has completed a permanent transfer to Middlesbrough Football Club. The initial fee is reported at £7 million, with performance‑related add‑ons that could raise the total to £14 million. The agreement also includes a sell‑on clause of up to 35 percent, matching rights and a buy‑back option for United.
Vitek, who has been with United since 2020 and spent recent seasons on loan at Bristol City, said he was “happy with how the situation turned out” and looks forward to regular first‑team football at the Championship club. Middlesbrough are set to begin their 2026/27 Championship campaign with Vitek expected to be the first‑choice goalkeeper.
