Radeon RX 9070 XT failure rates vary, PowerColor Reaper exceeds 3% RMA

Warranty data from German retailer Mindfactory and Czech retailer Alza show that the Radeon RX 9070 XT graphics cards have an overall RMA rate of about 1%, but rates differ sharply between models. The PowerColor Reaper registers the highest failure rate, above 3% on more than 2,350 units sold at Mindfactory, largely due to early‑batch fan issues that have been improving in later production runs. By contrast, the PowerColor Hellhound records only 0.47% on over 4,340 units, while ASUS PRIME OC reports 0.17% (Mindfactory) and 1.07% (Alza). ASRock Challenger posts 0.48%, and other premium models range from roughly 0.9% to 2.8% depending on retailer and batch. The analysis notes that variations stem from different sales volumes, regional batches, and retailer reporting practices, so the figures should guide purchase decisions rather than serve as definitive brand rankings.
