The actress revealed that the incident caused significant psychological distress, leading her to remain confined to her home for four days due to fears for her personal safety.

Apte noted that the impact of such leaks extends beyond online harassment and directly affects an individual's private life and security. She described feeling vulnerable when the footage reached people in her immediate circle, including her building's watchman and her stylist's driver. She expressed concern that such incidents can lead to physical confrontations if individuals feel offended by the content.

These reflections come as Apte features in the Netflix anthology ‘Lust Stories 3’. She emphasized the distinction between performing intimate scenes professionally on camera and the loss of control that occurs when footage is circulated without consent.
