Radhika Merchant Ambani highlights Indian craftsmanship at Swadesh event

Radhika Merchant Ambani attended the first anniversary celebration of Swadesh, a luxury handicraft platform by Reliance Retail, in Mumbai. The event featured various celebrities and members of the Ambani family.

Merchant wore a custom ensemble designed by Mayyur Girotra in collaboration with Swadesh. The outfit featured a structured, strapless corset paired with a floor-length skirt decorated with hand-painted Kalamkari artwork. The textile motifs included scenes from Krishna Leela, the Tree of Life, peacocks, sacred cows, and lotus blossoms, utilizing earthy shades of gold, brown, pink, and blue.

The look was styled by Rhea Kapoor and incorporated metallic embroidery, including Zardozi, pitta, dabka, and appliqué. The ensemble was intended to highlight traditional Indian craftsmanship within the global luxury fashion market.
