Radico Khaitan reports record Q1 profit and boosts ad spend
India's liquor producer Radico Khaitan posted a record first‑quarter profit for FY2027, with net revenue from operations rising 11.8% year‑on‑year to ₹1,683.7 crore. EBITDA jumped 50.9% to ₹348.1 crore, lifting the EBITDA margin to 20.7% from 15.3%.
The company's premium "Prestige & Above" segment drove growth, posting a 35.8% increase in volume to 5.22 million cases and contributing 36% to revenue, while total Indian‑made foreign liquor (IMFL) volume reached a record 10 million cases. Advertising and sales promotion spending rose to 6.9% of IMFL sales, up from 5.8% a year earlier, as the firm continues to invest in core brands and new launches.
Management attributed the performance to a successful premiumisation strategy, favourable raw‑material costs, and operational leverage, although higher packaging costs linked to the West Asia crisis added pressure. The firm expects the premium portfolio to keep expanding, reaffirming its FY2027 guidance for over 25% volume growth and an EBITDA margin around 20%.
