Radio Arvyla team in talks to move to OPEN TV

The satirical television program ‘Radio Arvyla’ is reportedly in negotiations to move to the OPEN network following the end of its collaboration with ANT1. The team, led by Antonis Kanakis, is considering a package deal that could include their other productions, ‘Boomers’ and ‘Vinyl’, to secure a strong presence in OPEN’s evening programming.

A primary obstacle in these discussions is the existing schedule on OPEN, specifically the 20:00 time slot currently designated for ‘Megalo Pazari’, hosted by Nikos Koklonis. One proposed solution involves reducing the frequency of ‘Megalo Pazari’ from five episodes a week to two, potentially moving an additional episode to Saturday. However, this adjustment faces complications due to state subsidies for game shows, as the program’s current schedule and episode count have already been submitted to and approved by regulatory bodies.
