Radio Bydgoszcz FM shifts musical format to disco and dance

Radio Bydgoszcz FM has transitioned its musical format from rock and gold music to disco and dance. The station, broadcasting on 99.5 MHz, implemented this change to address declining listener ratings. According to Radio Track data, the station's share of listening time fell to 0.6 percent between March and August, down from 0.7 percent during the same period the previous year.

Leszek Kozioł, co-owner of Dobry Rock—the company holding the Bydgoszcz FM license—explained that the shift aims to capture a larger audience with a playlist not currently offered by other stations in the Bydgoszcz market. To maintain its previous genres, the broadcaster has launched two internet-only stations: Bydgoszcz FM Gold, focusing on oldies and rock ballads, and Bydgoszcz FM Rock, featuring classic rock.
