KRRiT monitoring reveals 21 proceedings in H1 2026

The National Broadcasting Council (KRRiT) has released a summary of its monitoring activities for the first half of 2026. During this period, the council conducted nearly 400 analyses of television, radio, and VOD content, leading to the initiation of 21 administrative proceedings.

A significant portion of the monitoring, involving 296 instances, focused on compliance with commercial broadcasting regulations across 148 radio and television programs and similar VOD platforms. Additionally, 100 qualitative analyses were dedicated to the protection of minors. This included an examination of over 2,000 advertisements featuring children to ensure adherence to the Charter for the Protection of Children in Advertising. While violations were noted as infrequent, issues such as inappropriate use of a child's image, promotion of excessive consumption, and depicting minors in unsafe situations were identified.

The council also reported an increase in program accessibility for individuals with visual and hearing impairments. Monitoring of 154 annual reports from television broadcasters showed that the average share of programs with accessibility features reached 52.25%, a 1.5 percentage point increase compared to 2024.
