Radio Leverkusen wins NRW-Audiopreis 2026

Radio Leverkusen has won the 2026 NRW-Audiopreis in the ‘Audiowerbung’ (audio advertising) category for its program ‘Studiovisite – Euer Radio-Talk mit dem Klinikum Leverkusen’. The award ceremony, hosted by the Landesanstalt für Medien NRW in Cologne, recognized outstanding journalistic and creative achievements across private audio sectors and campus radio in North Rhine-Westphalia.

The winning segment, ‘Studiovisite’, features moderators Diana Dahlmann and Isabel Leifeld interviewing medical experts from the Klinikum Leverkusen. The program focuses on making complex health topics, such as prevention, emergencies, and modern therapies, accessible and understandable for a general audience. The jury praised the format for its journalistic clarity, relevance, and ability to provide practical life assistance through authentic conversation.

Dr. Tobias Schmid, Director of the Landesanstalt für Medien NRW, noted that the awards honor those who provide orientation and explanation in an era of information abundance, emphasizing that high-quality journalism requires both investigative effort and a stable economic foundation.
