Radio Lotiko staff undergo Sar language training in Sarh

Radio Lotiko in Sarh, the capital of Chad's Moyen-Chari province, has launched a training program to enhance the linguistic skills of its staff in the Sar language. On September 13, 2026, nine team members, including journalists, presenters, and announcers, participated in a refresher session designed to improve the quality of local language programming.

The initiative focuses on mastering pronunciation, reading techniques, and accurate translation to ensure information is clear and reliable for the audience. Radio director Djimtamra Percy Séraphin emphasized that precise articulation and rhythm are vital to prevent misunderstandings. He specifically instructed staff to avoid literal word-for-word translations, instead prioritizing the comprehension of the original message to ensure effective communication with the diverse communities in the region.
