Frank Schambor, German radio host ‘Morgenmän Franky’, dies at 54

German radio personality Frank Schambor, widely known by his moniker ‘Morgenmän Franky’, has died at the age of 54. His passing was confirmed by his family and former employers on September 3, 2026.

Schambor was a prominent figure in Northern German broadcasting, most notably serving as the host of the morning show at Radio ffn in Hannover for nearly 25 years, from 1999 until 2021. He began his career at the NDR youth station N-JOY. Even after leaving the morning show, he remained active in the industry as a DJ and entertainer.
