Radio presenter Luděk Hrzal dies at age 60

Radio presenter and DJ Luděk Hrzal has passed away at the age of 60 following a battle with leukemia. His funeral was held at the Strašnice Crematorium, where attendees were requested to wear bright or floral clothing to honor his wish for a non-traditional, celebratory atmosphere.

Radio host Leoš Mareš attended the service but drew attention for wearing traditional black mourning attire, deviating from the requested colorful dress code. Mareš, who has recently faced several personal losses including colleague Patrik Hezucký and manager Kateřina Niklová, paid tribute to Hrzal during his morning show on Evropa 2. He recalled that Hrzal was the first person to notice his talent as a disc jockey in a small club during the 1990s.
