Radio San Joaquín targets 40% Chilean music programming
Radio San Joaquín has announced a new goal to increase the presence of Chilean artists in its programming to over 40% by the end of 2026. This initiative follows recognition from the Sociedad Chilena de Autores e Intérpretes Musicales (SCD), which commended the station for its high levels of national repertoire.
According to data from the SCD, Radio San Joaquín maintained an average of 37.38% local artist programming in 2025, significantly exceeding the national average of 24.9%. During the first half of 2026, the station reached 35.54% national repertoire. While Chilean legislation requires a minimum of 20% Chilean music on national radio stations, Radio San Joaquín's management, led by Jaime Oyaneder Ramírez, aims to further its commitment to supporting local talent through ongoing programming adjustments.
