Radiology services expand in Peru and Spain
Healthcare facilities in Peru and Spain have reported advancements in their radiology services. In Ica, Peru, the Hospital Regional de Ica has treated approximately 500 patients following the acquisition of new X-ray equipment with fluoroscopy. Funded by the Regional Government of Ica, the technology allows for real-time imaging and can accommodate patients in both vertical and horizontal positions, aiming to increase diagnostic precision and hospital capacity.
In Spain, the Hospital Can Misses has strengthened its radiology department with the addition of Dr. Pablo Vargas Ávila, a specialist in emergency radiology. This appointment brings the department's specialist count to five. The service manages a high volume of activity, having performed an average of 308 diagnostic imaging tests per day in 2025, including CT scans, MRIs, and mammographies.
