Radom memorial dedicated to lost children blessed
Bishop Marek Solarczyk blessed a new monument dedicated to lost children at the historic Roman Catholic cemetery on Limanowskiego Street in Radom. The memorial, titled the Monument to the Child Never Embraced, was established through an initiative by the Knights of Columbus from the Mother of Sorrows Parish.
The monument aims to provide a dedicated space for families to commemorate stillborn children and those lost early in life. During the ceremony, Father Gabriel Marciniak, the parish priest, noted that the primary goal was to create a symbolic place for prayer and reflection for those who did not have the opportunity to properly bury their children.
In addition to the monument, 123 white-painted metal crosses were placed on the graves of lost children at the communal cemetery to ensure they are cared for and remembered.
