Poznań Marathon to host 5,400 runners and elite athletes

The upcoming LOTTO 25. Poznań Marathon features an elite field of runners, including Eritrean Hiskel Tewelde with a personal best of 2:04:35 and Betty Chepkwony with a time of 2:23:02. Approximately 5,400 runners are expected to participate in the marathon, while an additional 2,000 will compete in the Poznań FIVE event scheduled for the preceding day.

To support the marathon, significant changes to public transportation in Poznań will be implemented. Starting at 8:00 AM, various tram and bus lines will face diversions, suspensions, or shortened routes to accommodate the race course, which includes areas such as the Old Market, Malta, and Rataje. The city will deploy 10 shuttle tram lines to maintain connectivity between major transport hubs during the event.
