Radom to build new emergency medical service headquarters
Radom officials have announced plans to construct a new headquarters for the Radom Emergency Medical Service. The decision to build a new facility rather than renovate the existing building on Tochtermana Street stems from its poor technical condition and inability to meet modern emergency services requirements.
The new facility will be located at the intersection of Narutowicza and Paździora streets, near the Radom Specialist Hospital. Estimated to cost between 10 and 11 million PLN, the project is scheduled to begin construction in 2027, with completion expected between late 2028 and 2029.
Key features of the new site include increased workspace and an underground garage for ambulances, which officials state will ensure vehicles are ready for deployment regardless of weather conditions. The project aims to improve working conditions for doctors, nurses, paramedics, and drivers while potentially speeding up response times to patients.
