Radomir mayor calls emergency meeting after child‑violence video spreads
Mayor Kiril Stoev of Radomir, Bulgaria, condemned a video showing severe violence between two minors and ordered an urgent coordination meeting with the regional police, the local commission for combating minor public disturbances, the Child Protection Department and school officials. The clip, recorded two weeks earlier, depicts a 14‑year‑old boy assaulting a 12‑year‑old peer, attempting to strip him and verbally abusing him.
The Pernik Regional Police Directorate identified the suspect and the boy who posted the footage on Facebook. Police have begun procedural investigations under the supervision of the prosecutor, while the victim remains in police custody with his parent. Authorities said further measures will be taken to ensure public order and child safety in the municipality.
