Radomyr Stelmakh clinches three German gymnastics titles after gaining citizenship
Ukrainian‑born gymnast Radomyr Stelmakh, now a German citizen, won three titles at the German National Championships in Hannover. The 20‑year‑old took gold on the high bar, in the all‑around and on the parallel bars, scoring 200 points, 0.850 ahead of the runner‑up.
Stelmakh, who moved to SC Cottbus as a teenager after the Russian invasion of Ukraine, received German nationality in spring 2026 and was cleared by the Ukrainian federation to compete for Germany. His victories continue a long tradition of Ukrainian gymnasts representing clubs in the Lausitz region. He is slated to join the German team at the European Championships in Zagreb in August.
