Radomyr Stelmakh makes debut for Germany at European Gymnastics Championships

Radomyr Stelmakh, a 20-year-old gymnast originally from Ukraine, is making his competitive debut for the German national team at the European Gymnastics Championships in Zagreb, Croatia.

Stelmakh, who moved to Cottbus, Germany, in 2022 following the Russian invasion of Ukraine, previously won a European Championship gold medal representing Ukraine in Rimini in 2024. At the current championships, he will compete against former teammates, including Illia Kovtun and Nazar Chepurnyi.

German gymnast Lucas Kochan is also returning to competition at the event. German national coach Jens Milbradt expressed high confidence in Stelmakh's abilities as the athlete makes his comeback after a two-year hiatus.
