Radoslav Rosenov wins European boxing gold in Sofia

Bulgarian boxer Radoslav Rosenov has become the European champion in the 60kg category at the European Boxing Championships held in Sofia. In the final match at the Asics Arena, Rosenov defeated Ukraine's Aider Abduraimov via a unanimous 5:0 decision after three rounds of intense competition.

Rosenov's path to the gold included a victory over the reigning European champion, Vsevolod Shumkov of Russia. Despite suffering cuts to his eyebrows during the tournament, the 22-year-old athlete secured the title. This victory marks the first gold medal for Bulgaria at the current championships.

In addition to Rosenov's gold, Bulgaria secured a bronze medal in the 75kg category, won by Rami Kiuvan. Rosenov expressed his gratitude to the local crowd, his coaches, and the Bulgarian Boxing Federation following his win.
