Radu Dragusin set to start for Fiorentina against Napoli

Radu Dragusin, the Romanian defender currently on loan from Tottenham Hotspur to Fiorentina, is expected to start in the upcoming match against Napoli. This follows concerns regarding his physical condition after he was substituted at halftime during a recent Coppa Italia fixture against Pisa. While some reports initially suggested the withdrawal was due to fatigue, Dragusin is now reportedly fit for selection.

Dragusin joined Tottenham from Genoa in January 2024 and subsequently moved to Fiorentina on a season-long loan. The deal includes a €17.5 million obligation to buy once he reaches 22 appearances. Former Romanian international Răzvan Raț noted that Dragusin had previously been a target for Bayern Munich, highlighting the player's high standing in the transfer market during his move to London.

Fiorentina has had a difficult start to the Serie A campaign, currently sitting in 16th place with one win and three losses. Dragusin has already contributed two assists in his limited appearances for the Italian club.
