Radu Drăgușin joins Fiorentina on season‑long loan from Tottenham

Romanian centre‑back Radu Drăgușin has moved to Serie A side ACF Fiorentina on a season‑long loan from Tottenham Hotspur. The deal includes an obligation to purchase for roughly €17.5‑19 million if he meets a set number of appearances.

Drăgușin, a product of the Juventus academy who later played for Genoa, said he is "very happy to be here" and "can't wait to start" with the Viola. He highlighted his previous experience in the Premier League, noting that it helped him grow both as a player and a person, and he looks forward to bringing that to Fiorentina. He also mentioned knowing several teammates already – Albert Gudmundsson, Nicolò Fagioli, Moise Kean and Luca Ranieri – from past spells at Genoa and Salernitana.

The transfer follows his recovery from an ACL injury that limited his playing time at Tottenham. Fiorentina will benefit from his defensive experience and the club expects him to contribute to a successful season ahead.
