Radu Drăgușin plays full match in Fiorentina's 4-2 win over Venezia

Fiorentina secured their first victory of the Serie A season with a 4-2 win against Venezia. The match marked the debut of new coach Paolo Vanoli, who replaced Fabio Grosso following three consecutive losses.

Romanian defender Radu Drăgușin played the full match in central defense. While the Italian press offered positive assessments of his performance—noting six interceptions and winning four out of five aerial duels—former international Ciprian Marica expressed concerns. Marica suggested that Drăgușin appears slow and heavy on the pitch, noting that the player may still be recovering his former physical level following a serious injury sustained during his time at Tottenham.

Fiorentina's goals were provided by a hat-trick from Franco Mastantuono, a goal from Mateo Pellegrino, and a final strike by Hainaut. Venezia's lone goal was scored by Akor Adams.
