Radu Drăgușin signs for Fiorentina on loan with future purchase option

Romanian defender Radu Drăgușin, 24, has joined Serie A club Fiorentina from Tottenham Hotspur on a season‑long loan worth €1.5 million, with an obligation to buy for €17.5 million if he meets appearance criteria. The loan runs until 2031. Drăgușin said the club’s sporting director Fabio Paratici was decisive, noting that a phone call from Paratici “made the decision easy” and that he wants to repay the trust with his performances. He also confirmed he is fully recovered from a recent injury, stating he feels “100 %” ready. The defender, a Juventus academy product, previously played for Sampdoria, Salernitana and Genoa before Tottenham paid nearly €30 million for his services in January 2024, accumulating 193 official matches in his career.
