Radu Drăgușin signs with Fiorentina on €19 million deal

Romanian defender Radu Drăgușin transferred from Tottenham Hotspur to Italian Serie A side Fiorentina for a reported €19 million. He signed a contract running until 2031, with the club retaining an option to make the move permanent.

Drăgușin’s agent confirmed his salary at Fiorentina matches the €2.8 million net per season he earned at Tottenham, rising to about €3.5 million including bonuses. Former Romania coach Edi Iordănescu, who stayed in close contact with the player, said he advised Drăgușin to join a club where he could play regularly. Drăgușin, a product of Juventus’ academy and former Genoa, Sampdoria, Salernitana and Tottenham player, had made 48 appearances for Tottenham before the move.
