Radu Miruță departs Romanian Ministry of Defense

Radu Miruță has officially concluded his tenure as the interim Minister of National Defense in Romania. In a farewell message, Miruță expressed that it was an honor to serve the Romanian Army and emphasized the importance of the SAFE project, which aims to modernize the military's equipment.

Miruță noted that he left the institution with increased respect for the military personnel and thanked them for their support during his efforts to correct perceived injustices within the institution. He also criticized politicians who have previously treated the Ministry of Defense as a venue for business interests.

His successor, Radu Oprea, arrived at the Ministry of National Defense alongside Prime Minister Luca Niculescu to officially assume his mandate. Miruță was notably absent from the formal handover ceremony at the Ministry.
