Radu Miruță discusses military cooperation with Spain and denies political disinformation

Romanian interim Defense Minister Radu Miruță met with Spanish Defense Minister Margarita Robles at the Mihail Kogălniceanu Air Base to discuss bilateral relations, regional security, and cooperation within NATO and the EU. The discussions focused on the security situation in the Black Sea region, the importance of Spanish troop presence in the NATO Battle Group led by France, and continued support for Ukraine through EU military assistance missions.

Separately, Radu Miruță addressed recent political controversies, denying reports that USR President Dominic Fritz made disparaging remarks about Romania during consultations at the Cotroceni Palace. Miruță, who was present during the discussions, stated that such claims are disinformation and emphasized the need to combat the spread of false information in the public sphere.
