Radu Miruță warns PSD leadership poses economic risk

Radu Miruță, the interim Minister of National Defense, has issued a warning regarding the potential formation of a new government led by the Social Democratic Party (PSD). Speaking in Târgu Jiu, Miruță stated that a PSD-led executive would represent “a major risk for the entire economic environment” and could negate recent efforts to reduce the budget deficit.

Miruță argued that the private sector has already endured various fiscal measures intended to increase state revenue. He expressed concern that a return to PSD leadership would jeopardize the progress made through these measures. As an alternative to a PSD-led government, Miruță proposed an executive coalition consisting of USR, PNL, and UDMR, suggesting that the distribution of government functions should reflect the results obtained by each party in the elections.
