RADWIMPS song '夕星-ゆうづつ-' to theme movie '汝、星のごとく' announced

RADWIMPS will perform the theme song for the upcoming Japanese film 汝、星のごとく, slated for nationwide release on 9 October 2026. The newly written track, titled “夕星‑ゆうづつ‑”, was composed by band leader Noda Yojiro at the request of director Fuji Dōjin.

The movie adapts the best‑selling novel by author Nagi Yū, which has sold over 1.7 million copies. It stars Yokohama Ryūsei as Aono Kai and Hirose Suzu as Inoue Akimi, portraying a 15‑year love story set on a scenic island in the Seto Inland Sea. Both the director and the lead actors have praised the song’s emotional resonance.

A trailer featuring the new song has been released, and RADWIMPS shared comments about the project’s passion and themes of personal choice and hope. The band is currently on its “RADWIMPS Official Fan Club Tour 2026 ‘Userinch‑i’” and will issue a live‑tour video collection later this year.
