RADWIMPS to release theme song ‘Yuzutsu’ for film ‘Yu nanji, hoshi no gotoku’

The musical group RADWIMPS will release the single ‘Yuzutsu’ on October 2. The track was written specifically as the theme song for the upcoming film ‘Yu nanji, hoshi no gotoku’ (As You Like the Stars), which is scheduled for a nationwide theatrical release on October 9, 2026.

New artist photography and jacket visuals have been released alongside the announcement. The jacket art features imagery captured during the Onmaku Fireworks Festival in Imabari, a location that serves as a significant setting within the film.

Directed by Michihito Fujii and starring Ryusei Yokohama and Suzu Hirose, the film is based on the bestselling novel by Yu Nagira. The story follows the lives of two high school students over a 15-year period set against the backdrop of the Seto Inland Sea.
