Radzyń Chełmiński mayor removed via referendum

Maciej Góral has been removed from his position as the mayor of Radzyń Chełmiński following a local referendum. The vote saw 1,070 eligible voters participate, with 1,024 casting ballots in favor of his dismissal.

Local residents cited issues regarding the management of the local health center and a lack of communication with the community as primary reasons for the decision. Although Góral had promised to develop the health center during his election campaign, residents expressed dissatisfaction with the current situation.

Góral, who has held the office since 2024, stated that he accepts the decision with respect. He noted that while he had been implementing changes he deemed necessary to modernize the municipality, it appeared not all residents were prepared for the pace and direction of those reforms.
