Raekwon Davis arrested for alleged aggravated assault
Free agent defensive tackle Raekwon Davis was arrested on Thursday, September 3, 2026, and is currently being held without bond. Davis faces charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon following an incident at his residence involving a car detailing company manager and a locksmith.
According to the criminal complaint, the dispute began over a lost vehicle key. When the manager arrived at Davis’ home with a locksmith to program a replacement, an altercation allegedly occurred. The complainant claims Davis pushed him into a fence, pinned him to the ground, and attempted to strangle him. The complaint further alleges that Davis brandished a firearm, pointing it at the locksmith and the manager during the confrontation.
Davis, a former second-round draft pick for the Miami Dolphins, most recently played for the Indianapolis Colts before being released in the 2024 offseason. He has remained a free agent throughout the 2025 season. Following the arrest, Davis’ lawyer issued a statement on his behalf regarding the situation. A court date has been set for September 8.
