Doctors worked extreme shifts, including a continuous 110‑hour duty and some logged nearly 400 hours in a single month. The hospital’s electronic entry‑exit monitoring system was not used for physician accounting, and staffing records showed single‑person coverage of shifts that should have been staffed by two doctors. Prosecutors have opened two investigations, one for alleged fraud exceeding 500,000 zł. The mayor, Rafał Trzaskowski, announced stricter oversight of Warsaw hospitals, a review of contracts, and possible legal action to recover funds. The audit also noted that the doctor involved, Dawid Kacprzyk, earned about 1.6 million zł in the previous year.
