Colombia's National Mining Agency to Sign First Mining Contracts

The Agencia Nacional de Minería (ANM) will sign its first five contracts under the new Mining Rounds system on July 29, 2026. The contracts cover the exploration and exploitation of copper, gold, polymetallic deposits and phosphates on more than 25,000 hectares of strategic mineral areas. The signing ceremony will take place at the ANM auditorium at 8:30 a.m.

The Mining Rounds model, introduced in 2025, is designed to meet the highest international standards for environmental protection, social responsibility and territorial development. ANM officials said the scheme strengthens transparency, legal security and responsible investment for Colombia’s mining sector.
