He specifically recalled a final moment of connection, noting, “You squeezed my hand harder than I did,” a gesture he interpreted as a sign of his father's enduring presence and love.

The funeral services were held in private on Sunday, September 20, in the town of Pinos Puente, Granada. The wake took place at the Valderrubio mortuary, followed by a burial in the local cemetery, with only close family and friends in attendance.
