Rafael Camara to replace Esteban Ocon at Haas F1

Haas and Ferrari have reached an agreement in Singapore for Brazilian driver Rafael Camara to replace Esteban Ocon. Camara, a Ferrari protégé currently competing in Formula 2, is expected to join the team following Ocon's departure at the end of the 2026 campaign.

The decision followed a series of tests involving several candidates, including Jack Doohan, Ryo Hirakawa, and Leonardo Fornaroli. While Doohan reportedly delivered an impressive performance that made the final selection difficult, Camara was ultimately chosen due to his strong reputation and the support of Ferrari.

Camara's move to Haas will result in a lineup for 2027 consisting entirely of Ferrari junior drivers, as he will join Oliver Bearman. The decision has sparked discussion within the industry regarding the team's increasing reliance on Ferrari components and personnel.
