Rafael Cardoso reflects on fatherhood after rehabilitation

Brazilian actor Rafael Cardoso has shared reflections on fatherhood following a 45-day stay in a rehabilitation clinic for drug and alcohol addiction. After being discharged nearly a month ago, the 40-year-old actor posted on social media about spending time with his youngest daughter, two-year-old Helena.

Cardoso emphasized the importance of presence over perfection, stating that “paternity taught me that time has another value when it is measured in presence.” He noted that a father's greatest legacy is providing security and love rather than material goods.

In addition to Helena, Cardoso is a father to Aurora, 11, and Valentim, 8, from his previous marriage to actress Mari Bridi. He recently discussed his recovery process in an interview, noting that this period of treatment has provided a different perspective compared to previous attempts.
