Rafael Cardoso returns to work in Rio de Janeiro

Brazilian actor Rafael Cardoso has returned to professional work after spending several months in a rehabilitation clinic. The 40-year-old was spotted filming a music video at Praia Vermelha in Rio de Janeiro on Monday.

Cardoso had previously announced his voluntary admission to a clinic in June to seek treatment for chemical dependency and alcoholism following a relapse. During his treatment, he shared an open letter on social media acknowledging the severity of his situation, stating, “Everything is clearer. I had lost control of my life. I was the only one who didn't see it.”

This return to filming marks a new phase for the actor, who has been away from television since 2023.
