Rafael Câmara eyes championship lead at Silverstone after strong Austrian finish

Brazilian driver Rafael Câmara continued his charge in the 2026 Formula 2 championship, finishing fourth at the Red Bull Ring in Austria and moving to third overall with 82 points, 26 points behind the series leader. He said the Austrian weekend was “intense” and highlighted the importance of maximizing every opportunity.

Câmara now heads to the Silverstone round in England, the seventh event of the season, aiming to close the gap to the leaders. He noted that Silverstone was a new circuit for him last year, recalling a rain‑filled, “very eventful” race in Formula 3. The weekend will feature a sprint race on Saturday and the main race on Sunday, with live coverage on Sportv, GloboPlay and F1TV.
