Rafael completes SPYDER air defense test in Israel

Rafael Advanced Defense Systems successfully carried out live‑fire test launches of its SPYDER short‑ and medium‑range air‑defence system in Israel. The trials used the I‑DERBY ER and I‑DERBY LR missiles and demonstrated hit‑to‑kill interceptions of low‑radar‑signature unmanned aerial vehicles and other simulated aerial threats.

The tests incorporated software updates and lessons learned from recent combat operations, highlighting the system’s modular architecture and rapid response capability. International customers such as Romania and the Czech Republic have already selected SPYDER to strengthen their national air‑defence networks.
