Rafael delivers 1,000th TYPHOON naval weapon station to Israeli Navy

Rafael Advanced Defense Systems announced the delivery of the 1,000th TYPHOON remote‑operated naval weapon station. The system, a stabilized 20–30 mm gun platform, is now installed on Israeli Navy vessels, including the Sa’ar 6 corvettes, as part of an ongoing upgrade of the fleet’s combat capabilities.

Rafael said the TYPHOON family is in service with 25 navies worldwide, citing users such as the United States, Canada and Australia. CEO Yoav Tourgeman said the milestone “reflects the continued trust of navies and maritime forces worldwide in Rafael’s operational capabilities” and underscored the growing need for precise, rapid response in increasingly contested maritime environments.
