Rafael dos Anjos returns at UFC 332 in Salt Lake City

Former UFC lightweight champion Rafael dos Anjos is set to return to competition this Saturday at UFC 332 in Salt Lake City, Utah. The bout against Alexander Hernandez marks the 42-year-old Brazilian’s 50th professional MMA fight and follows a nearly two-year absence caused by knee injuries and surgeries.

Dos Anjos expressed interest in a future matchup with Conor McGregor, a fight that was originally scheduled for 2016 but was canceled after Dos Anjos suffered a foot fracture. Despite a long-standing rivalry, Dos Anjos recently shared words of solidarity with McGregor regarding a recent injury.

UFC 332 also features a vacant women’s flyweight title fight between Natalia Silva and Wang Cong, following Valentina Shevchenko’s decision to vacate the belt due to injury.
