Rafael Espinoza and Lorenzo Parra set for WBO featherweight title fight
WBO featherweight champion Rafael Espinoza is reportedly set to defend his title against mandatory challenger Lorenzo Parra. The bout is being planned for the October undercard of the Canelo Alvarez vs. Christian Mbilli fight, which is expected to take place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Espinoza, an undefeated Mexican fighter with a 28-0 record and 24 knockouts, is returning to the ring after nearly a year of inactivity following his November 2025 victory over Arnold Khegai. The 6-foot-1 champion is noted for his unusual physical dimensions and power in the 126-pound division.
Lorenzo Parra, a 32-year-old Venezuelan challenger with a record of 24-1-1, earned his mandatory position after stopping Elijah Pierce in February 2026. If the match is finalized, it will mark the first world title opportunity for Parra.
