Rafael Jodar avoids confirming coaching talks with Juan Carlos Ferrero
Spanish tennis player Rafael Jodar has declined to comment on potential future coaching collaborations with Juan Carlos Ferrero, stating his immediate priority is completing the 2026 season.
Following a victory at the Shanghai Masters against Argentina’s Thiago Agustín Tirante (4-6, 6-2, 6-3), the 20-year-old Jodar addressed speculation regarding Ferrero. The former world No. 1 and former coach of Carlos Alcaraz has signaled an interest in returning to coaching in 2027 and has been linked to several top young talents, including Jodar and Jannik Sinner.
Jodar, who currently works with his father, Rafael Jodar, is preparing for a third-round match against Jiri Lehecka. His upcoming schedule includes the Swiss Indoors Basel, the Paris Masters, and a potential appearance in the Davis Cup Finals in Bologna.
