Rafael Lacava Begins Housing Rebuild for Morón Earthquake Victims

The industrial chamber of Carabobo (CIEC) organized a multi‑service aid day for families in Morón, Juan José Mora municipality, providing meals, psychological support and medical assistance after the twin earthquakes on 24 June. The event was held in partnership with Fundación Empresas Polar and other local companies.

Governor Rafael Lacava, accompanied by mayor Emily Riera, inspected the start of a new housing program under the "Venezuela Renace" plan. The construction, overseen by the regional government, will deliver more than 560 earthquake‑damaged homes built with anti‑seismic materials, each about 72 m² and equipped with three bedrooms, a living room and a bathroom. The project targets the Palma Sola, Colinas de Mara, Parte Baja de Amazonas and Colinas de Pequiven sectors, aiming to restore safe, dignified housing for the affected families.
