Rafael Leão linked to Galatasaray and Aston Villa transfers

Portuguese winger Rafael Leão is facing a potential transfer from AC Milan, with Galatasaray and Aston Villa emerging as primary contenders. While Leão reportedly prefers a move to the English Premier League to suit his playing style, AC Milan appears more inclined toward an offer from Galatasaray.

Galatasaray has reportedly offered an immediate 45 million euro payment, plus 5 million euros in bonuses, and is prepared to provide the 27-year-old with a seasonal salary of approximately 12 million euros. AC Milan, which initially sought 60 million euros, has since lowered its asking price to around 50 million euros.

Aston Villa is also interested, with manager Unai Emery reportedly contacting the player personally. Villa's proposed structure involves a loan with an obligation to buy, offering a yearly salary of roughly 8 million euros. Leão, whose contract with Milan runs until 2028, recorded 10 goals and three assists in 31 matches during the 2025/26 season.
