Rafael Montes Negrete appointed as Montería Rural Manager

Montería Mayor Hugo Kerguelén García has sworn in Rafael Nicolás Montes Negrete as the new Rural Manager for the municipality. Montes Negrete, an agronomist and specialist in Business Management, succeeds Nelson Rivera in the role.

Montes Negrete brings over 20 years of experience in the agricultural sector and public administration, having previously served as the Secretary of Economic and Agro-industrial Development for Córdoba and as a regional advisor for the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development for Córdoba and Sucre.

His primary objectives include strengthening support for small and medium-sized producers, increasing agricultural productivity and competitiveness, and promoting sustainable development. He will also focus on coordinating actions between the municipal administration, industry guilds, and rural communities to improve living conditions in the countryside.
