Rafael Santos Borré signs with River Plate until 2029

Colombian forward Rafael Santos Borré officially returned to River Plate, signing a contract that runs until December 2029. After completing his medical at the club’s Ezeiza training ground, the 30‑year‑old expressed great happiness at rejoining a club he calls his “home.”

During his first spell (2017‑2021) Borré played 149 matches, scored 55 goals and provided 18 assists, helping River win six titles including the 2018 Copa Libertadores and the 2019 Recopa Sudamericana. River paid a $2.5 million transfer fee to Inter Porto Alegre for the striker. The signing is part of a broader transfer window that also brought Lucas Beltrán, Giovanni González, Mauro Arambarri and Nicolás Otamendi to the squad.
